People and cows have been bound to each other for more than eighty centuries. One century of this close relationship has been captured on a unique media, the picture postcard.
This book contains an exceptional selection of approximately 200 cards from the historical postcards from all over the world that show the cow and all she has to offer. The special relationship between people and cows through the passage of time and all over the world is the book's central theme.
Much has changed over the course of the existance of postcards. These historical changes have also been caputred on picture postcards: from milking by hand to the milking machine. Companies liked advertising their products on picture postcards and sending them around the world
Cattle are not only production animals, they are also exceptional pack, draught and riding aniams. Many sports and rituals show how man and cow work together.
The world of cow and man merging in one book.
